my-mbti.com is an independent education site about the sixteen personality types. It exists for one reason: to help you turn four letters into something you can use on an ordinary Monday morning.

The core of the site is a free 48-question type indicator that takes most people about eight minutes, plus a library of profiles covering strengths, recurring blind spots, communication habits, work environments that fit, and how each type tends to behave under pressure and in close relationships.

Everything here is written in-house. We start from the published literature on psychological type — Jung's original work on how attention and judgment are oriented, and the four-dichotomy framework that Isabel Briggs Myers and Katharine Cook Briggs later built from it — then translate those ideas into plain language and concrete situations. Drafts are written by people with a background in personality psychology, checked for internal consistency across all sixteen profiles, and revised when readers write in to say a description misses the mark. We do not copy text from other personality sites, and we do not invent research statistics to make a claim sound sturdier than it is.

A word on what type frameworks can and cannot do. They are best understood as a shared vocabulary for self-reflection, not a measurement of ability, maturity, or mental health. A four-letter result should never be used to screen job candidates, settle an argument about someone's character, or excuse a habit that is worth changing. Read your profile the way you would read a thoughtful letter from someone who knows you slightly: keep what rings true, question what doesn't, and ignore anything that reads like flattery.
